About the role

An opportunity exists for a Phlebotomy Technician to join the team at the Subacute 360 branch in Vereeniging. The employer is looking for someone with a proven track record of phlebotomy competence, a high level of ethics and integrity, and alignment with the PathCare values.

Required profile

• Phlebotomy Technician qualification and registration with the HPCSA
• Phlebotomy experience is essential; pathology experience is highly advantageous, including order of draw and running of point-of-care instruments such as Hemocue and Stratus, and arterial blood gas analysis
• Valid Code B driver's licence (manual transmission)
• Fluent English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• A good performance record for the technical and behavioural competencies of the role

Required skills

• Computer literacy; Meditech knowledge is advantageous
• Client focus, attention to detail, adaptability and teamwork
• Initiative, problem-solving, effective communication and empathy
• Stress resistance, result orientation and a positive, flexible attitude
