Pharma Sales Product Trainer

About the role

The Pharma Sales Product Trainer will design, deliver and continuously improve onboarding and product knowledge programmes for pharmacy sales representatives in the Gauteng region. This role bridges product expertise with sales enablement, ensuring the sales force is fully prepared for product launches and everyday interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive onboarding curricula for new sales representatives.
• Deliver product knowledge presentations and training sessions to the sales team.
• Assess and certify representatives’ product competency on an ongoing basis.
• Prepare the sales force for new product launches, ensuring readiness and confidence.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to keep training content current.

Required profile

• Matric and a tertiary qualification such as B Pharm, B.Sc. Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related healthcare credential.
• 3–5 years of experience in training/L&D within the pharmaceutical sector, or a registered pharmacist with equivalent experience, or at least 5 years as a pharmaceutical sales representative.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills in English.
• Professional appearance, strong references and a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using ERP systems for training administration.
