People & Culture Internship (18‑month Programme)

About the role

Standard Bank offers an 18‑month People & Culture internship designed to give you hands‑on exposure to HR functions while supporting the bank’s growth across Africa. You will work alongside the People & Culture team, learning on the job, engaging in self‑directed study and receiving technical training.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structured work exposure across various HR areas.
• Collaborate with staff at all levels to understand and support People & Culture initiatives.
• Engage in learning‑on‑the‑job activities, self‑learning modules and technical training sessions.

Required profile

• South African citizen aged between 18 and 30.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Completed a tertiary qualification related to Human Resources or Social Sciences.
• Not permanently employed, not studying at another institution, and not registered on any other learnership.
