About the role
Smollan is seeking a People Consultant to help shape a diverse and inclusive workplace where employees feel cared for, happy, and inspired. The role focuses on fostering a positive culture and supporting employee growth across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Recruitment, selection and onboarding of new talent.
- Management of the Performance Management System.
- Design and delivery of training and development programmes within business units.
- Administration, data management and reporting on HR metrics.
- People management, teamwork and self‑management.
- Handling poor performance issues and industrial relations matters.
Required profile
- 4‑5 years of HR experience, preferably in retail or FMCG.
- Diploma or degree (NQF level 6 or 7) in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management, planning and prioritisation.
- Solid administration abilities.
