Patient Intake Specialist – Remote (EST Hours)

About the role

The Patient Intake Specialist is the first compassionate voice for prospective patients seeking innovative mental health and wellness treatments. Working remotely on EST hours, you will connect with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, or chronic pain, guiding them toward life‑changing care.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls, texts, and messages from prospective patients.
• Conduct empathetic, structured intake conversations lasting 6‑11 minutes.
• Assess patient needs, document relevant clinical information, and schedule appropriate consultations.
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline the patient journey.

Required profile

• Strong verbal communication skills with a warm, empathetic tone.
• Ability to manage emotionally distressed callers and provide appropriate support.
• Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps) and a stable power backup solution.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday during EST hours (00:00‑09:00 SAST).
• Willingness to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays.

Required skills

• Excellent active‑listening and rapport‑building abilities.
• Basic knowledge of mental health terminology and patient intake processes.
• Proficiency with standard office software for data entry and scheduling.
