Order Fulfilment Manager

About the role

Takealot Fulfilment Solutions is seeking an Order Fulfilment Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery operations in Cape Town. You will oversee last‑mile deliveries, manage courier partnerships, and ensure a seamless experience for millions of customers each year.

Key responsibilities

• Manage deliveries from dispatch to customer across owned franchises and contracted couriers (inbound and outbound).
• Oversee last‑mile delivery performance, status exception handling, claims, queries and complaints.
• Continuously review and streamline processes to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Set and monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance metrics; drive improvements in quality, on‑time delivery (target 98%), and cost reduction.
• Lead a team of 20+ staff, scheduling work 7 days a week and coordinating with call‑centre and dispatch teams.
• Analyse daily data, report on exceptions and claims, and develop policies to optimise claims processing.
• Facilitate system integration with couriers and ensure compliance with callback requirements.

Required profile

• Excellent influencing, negotiating and commercial contract experience at an executive level.
• Deep understanding of logistics and supply‑chain design, with the ability to interpret complex operational environments.
