Optometrist (Full Time) - Boksburg

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess patients' vision and eye health.
• Perform refraction testing and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses.
• Advise patients on suitable spectacle lenses, frames and contact lenses according to their needs.
• Provide contact lens assessments, fittings and follow-up care.
• Identify eye health concerns and refer patients to other healthcare professionals when required.
• Educate patients on eye care, visual health and the correct use of prescribed products.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Work closely with the practice team to deliver professional, efficient and friendly service, contribute to patient retention and practice growth, and maintain professional standards within the scope of practice.

Required profile

• A recognised qualification in Optometry.
• Current HPCSA registration as an Optometrist, appropriate to the role.
• Preferably based in Boksburg or nearby, within a convenient commute of the Elizabeth Road / Ridge Road area.
• Interested in a long-term opportunity; an interest in future practice ownership is advantageous.
