About the role
An established optometry practice in Waverley, Pretoria is looking for a friendly, professional and organised medical receptionist who takes pride in patient care and enjoys working in a close-knit team. The role covers patient reception, administration and frontline support, with some hands-on patient assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Patient reception and appointment management
- Telephone enquiries and administration
- Medical aid and payment processing
- Patient follow-ups and general frontline support
- Certain patient tests and assisting the optometrist with contact lens care
Required profile
- Matric
- Previous medical practice experience (essential)
- Fluent Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Optometry or ophthalmology experience is advantageous
Required skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong computer and administrative skills
Working hours
- Monday to Friday: 08:00–17:00
- Saturday: 08:30–12:30
- Closed on Sundays and public holidays
