Operator Gr1 Auxiliary Mining

About the role

The Operator Gr1 Auxiliary Mining is responsible for safely operating and maintaining auxiliary mining equipment to support primary mining activities. You will work on site, ensuring material flow and equipment reliability while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow SHE standards and relevant legislation for vehicle control.
• Read, sign and comply with all work instructions and standards.
• Attend safety meetings, identify hazards and apply SLAM/HIRA procedures.
• Operate loaders, dozers, graders and other support vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform minor repairs and report issues to maintenance.
• Assist with loading, transporting and unloading materials across the mining site.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors, operators and other personnel.
• Record equipment usage, fuel consumption and other operational data.
• Support excavation, dumping or grading activities as required.
• Operate equipment with environmental awareness, following guidelines to minimise impact.

Required profile

• Commitment to safety standards and proactive hazard identification.
• Ability to operate auxiliary mining equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Willingness to attend safety meetings and complete risk assessments.
• Effective communication skills for coordinated site operations.
• Attention to detail for equipment inspections and record keeping.
