Operations Supervisor – Fulfilment Centre

About the role

Amazon is looking for an Operations Supervisor to lead a shift at its Cape Town fulfilment centre. You will be the first point of contact for team members, ensuring that processes are followed and that safety, quality and productivity standards are met throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and monitor workflows, track on‑site performance and relay shift information to frontline management.
• Support and train employees, supervising daily tasks and ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures.
• Assist the Shift/Area Manager with projects aimed at process improvement, workforce engagement and a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve common issues and support key performance areas.
• Use data analysis to identify opportunities to optimise safety, quality and productivity.

Required profile

• Experience supervising operational teams in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Ability to train, coach and support staff on process compliance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to escalates issues appropriately.
• Comfort with data‑driven decision making to improve performance.
