Operations Manager – Production & Maintenance (M1M2)

About the role

Lead the production and maintenance teams to execute all processes safely, cost‑effectively and with high‑quality output. The position is accountable for safety, quality, people management, customer satisfaction and continuous operational improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production and maintenance teams to ensure safe, cost‑effective execution of processes and high‑quality finished products.
• Identify, assess and mitigate safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) risks, manage compliance and use the Integrated Management System for reporting.
• Manage departmental people performance, labour stability, recruitment, career development and discipline.
• Maintain and improve relationships with key customers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee production planning, budgeting, quality targets, work‑management principles and plant throughput.
• Ensure maintenance work‑management adherence, minimise breakdowns and control maintenance costs.
• Manage engineering assets, oversee refurbishment, and standardise spares and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including SAP and MES change‑management projects.
• Control departmental budget and deliver shareholder value.
