Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and expand our diverse portfolio of businesses, which includes oil trading, fuel logistics, property development, rentals, and hospitality across Gauteng and beyond. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset to identify growth opportunities and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities relevant to the group.
• Develop conceptual business plans together with finance and conduct feasibility studies.
• Prepare and submit tenders for new projects.
• Review and improve efficiency across all business units.
• Lead and manage operational staff, overseeing key projects.
• Document and optimise business processes, implementing necessary controls.
• Manage administration tasks, including insurance, manufacturing licences, ISO documentation, and auditor queries.
• Handle escalated account or tenant matters as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience demonstrating entrepreneurial skills in growing businesses.
• At least 5 years in middle‑management roles focused on operational improvement.
• Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with Pastel accounting software.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from R45 000 to R70 000 per month, dependent on experience.
