Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee the performance and profitability of Spur franchise locations. This role requires close collaboration with franchisees, area managers and corporate teams to ensure standards, financial targets and customer experience are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Attend operations meetings, prepare status reports and develop action plans to improve store turnover and standards.
• Monitor branded product off‑takes, central kitchen outputs and ensure timely collection of debts, fees and advertising levies.
• Conduct monthly financial analyses, provide guidance on profit improvement and assist with budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Implement and follow up on in‑store strategic initiatives such as marketing plans, overhead budgets, incentive programmes and stock turn ratios.
• Maintain high quality, hygiene and service standards through regular audits, mystery shopper reports and Q‑Pro audits.
• Train and develop store management, casual and permanent staff using available training materials.
• Support area managers with new store openings, upgrades, revamps and technical standards.
• Organise and schedule training sessions for new franchisees and staff, and coordinate regional initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong self‑discipline, excellent time‑management and a solid work ethic.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the region.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and adapt to diverse cultures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
