Operations Consultant

About the role

The Operations Consultant will provide administrative, analytical and project support to the distribution channel of a leading South African financial services group. The role focuses on risk management, client and broker relationship handling, and ensuring smooth internal processes.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, monitor and analyse risk data, applying established risk models and protocols.
• Support senior colleagues in managing client and broker relationships, including vetting new broker applications and private facilities.
• Maintain and improve stakeholder engagement, ensuring service delivery meets SLA requirements.
• Produce and update documentation, databases, and departmental systems; manage invoices and broker commissions.
• Populate contracts, letters, and communications; maintain a central archive of distribution‑related data.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects such as marketing events and retention processes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in risk data collection and analysis.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail for document and data management.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to process improvement and compliance monitoring.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
