Customer Service Administrator - Debt Collection

About the role

Cat Financial, a subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc., is looking for a Customer Service Administrator in South Africa. The role manages and resolves overdue accounts with clients while complying with legal and regulatory standards, combining customer service with debt collection knowledge. It acts as a liaison between the company, clients and legal teams to support timely and ethical debt recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Address and resolve customer issues and inquiries, documenting all customer communication clearly.
• Identify issues and determine the appropriate course of action for resolution.
• Execute customer service standard processes and maintain customer accounts and relationships.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and support legal processes related to collections.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in a related field.
• 2-5 years' experience in a similar role and environment.
• Knowledge of legal collection procedures and relevant regulations.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with professionalism and empathy.
