Operational Finance Administrator Internship

About the role

This 6‑month finance internship provides hands‑on exposure to operational finance within a leading distributor of international brands. Working under the Financial Accountant, you will support the sales, marketing and commercial teams in purchase order and spend administration.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and prioritize purchase order requests from sales and commercial teams.
• Process purchase orders for retail, wholesale, online and independent customer accounts, ensuring alignment with approved contracts and trackers.
• Validate invoice values against approved spend allocations and reconcile retailer remittances, billings and invoices.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, duplicate submissions or billing errors in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Monitor trade‑spend trackers, flag budget overruns and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
• Update marketing purchase orders and ATL expenditure records to reflect promotional periods.

Required profile

• South African citizenship.
• Currently not employed.
• From a previously disadvantaged background (African, Indian, Coloured).
• Completed BCom Finance degree.
