Online English Teacher for Young Learners (Remote, South Africa)

About the role

The Really Great Teacher Company is seeking South Africa‑based English teachers to deliver engaging 25‑minute online lessons to young learners (ages 4‑16) in China. Work from home on a self‑designed schedule, teaching one‑on‑one or one‑on‑two classes via the ClassIn platform.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 25‑minute English lessons for beginner to advanced young learners.
• Prepare and adapt lesson materials to suit individual student needs.
• Track student progress and provide feedback to parents.
• Participate in professional development courses through Inspire Academy.
• Maintain a reliable online teaching environment (hardware, internet, UPS).

Required profile

• High‑energy, interactive teaching style with a warm, encouraging attitude.
• Patient and empathetic, especially with younger or beginner learners.
• Clear spoken English and strong communication skills.
• Consistent weekly availability within the 12:00–15:30 SAST window.
• Minimum one year of teaching experience.

• Proficiency with the ClassIn online teaching platform.
