Onboarding Analyst – Data & Customer Experience

About the role

Our client, a specialist web‑app and IT consulting firm serving independent financial advisers, is seeking an Onboarding Analyst to ensure new customers experience a smooth and timely transition onto their platform. The role blends data handling, client interaction and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Onboarding Business Analyst team to deliver accurate, on‑time customer onboarding.
• Collect, clean, standardise and analyse data from multiple external sources.
• Prepare large Excel datasets, identify patterns and ensure data quality.
• Deliver solutions that meet client objectives and monitor early‑stage client success.
• Spot opportunities for product refinements to enhance the overall customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within South African financial services.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving mindset and ability to multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modelling).
• Data analysis, cleaning and standardisation.
• Pattern identification within large datasets.
• Familiarity with online software tools used in financial services.
