About the role
The Baneng Care Centre in Roodepoort is seeking an Occupational Therapy Technician to support the Occupational Therapist in delivering high‑quality mental health services. The role involves direct patient interaction, programme implementation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Provide quality clinical care and monitor patients' response to treatment.
- Implement, evaluate and facilitate vocational and therapeutic programmes.
- Participate in training, development activities and special awareness events.
- Maintain accurate stock, records and timely incident reports.
- Advocate for patients and contribute to interdisciplinary team decisions.
Required profile
- Grade 12 (NSC) and Occupational Therapy Technician Certificate.
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Minimum one year of experience in mental health or related field.
- Ability to conduct activity analysis and adapt interventions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
