Occupational Healthcare Nurse

About the role

Our client is looking for a qualified Occupational Healthcare Nurse to lead the primary and occupational health services at their Cape Town clinic. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive health assessments, managing chronic disease programmes and responding to emergency situations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the primary health care and occupational health clinic, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
• Conduct and review annual health risk assessments and medical/biological surveillance.
• Manage chronic disease programmes, pre‑employment, exit and annual medical examinations.
• Maintain accurate records, both electronic and hard copy, and compile regular clinic management reports.
• Ensure proper maintenance of clinic equipment and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Required profile

• Nursing Diploma or Degree with an Occupational Health Nurse qualification recognised by the South African Nursing Council.
• Primary Health Care (PHC) experience or qualification.
• Valid dispensing licence and registration with SANC/SASOHN.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
