Nursing Operations Manager

About the role

The Nursing Operations Manager will lead and manage nursing operational projects, processes and governance across the organisation. This role advocates for nursing, represents the profession on relevant forums and drives service transformation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide input, lead and support implementation of nursing strategy goals.
• Ensure nursing governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver operational support to nursing services and own nursing processes.
• Lead nursing projects and act as subject‑matter expert for corporate initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and manage nursing teams.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma with a nursing leadership or management qualification.
• Five years’ experience in senior nursing management or a leadership role within a level 3‑4 or tertiary hospital.
• Knowledge of healthcare legislation, clinical risk management and infection prevention and control.
• Experience in quality improvement, patient safety and project management is desired.
