Training Officer – Core Systems (Pharmacy Stock/Systems Controller)

About the role

Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking a Training Officer to support the Core Systems Replacement project for pharmacy stock and system controls. The role focuses on implementing new processes, transferring knowledge to users, and creating learning materials that ensure competence across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse learning and development needs related to the new pharmacy systems.
• Design, develop and implement learning support material, including guides and e‑learning content.
• Facilitate training sessions, assess learner progress and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
• Provide ongoing system and process support during and after implementation.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 12; preferably a certificate in instructional design, training, pharmacy logistics, pharmacy support (Pharmacist’s Assistant or Pharmacy Technician) or healthcare supply chain.
• 3–5 years of experience in business processes within a hospital or healthcare setting, specifically as a Pharmacy Stock/Systems Controller.
• Experience in pharmacy environments and in developing and delivering training material is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of relevant business process policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software packages, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to format and style learning support material effectively.
