About the role
A leading private hospital is looking for an experienced Nursing Manager to lead nursing operations at its Amanzimtoti facility. This senior role ensures high‑quality patient care, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, and drives continuous improvement through mentoring and training.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing activities and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
- Lead, mentor and develop nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Coordinate with medical, administrative and support teams to optimise patient pathways.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor performance metrics.
- Manage staffing schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
Required profile
- Diploma in General Nursing (NQF 6) or B Cur Degree (NQF 7).
- Diploma in Health Service Management (essential).
- Business management qualification (advantageous).
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 3 years’ management experience in the private health sector.
- Previous experience as Deputy Nursing Manager preferred.
