Nightshift Manager

About the role

Pedros is seeking a hands‑on Nightshift Manager to lead all night‑shift activities within its Distribution Centre. The role covers warehouse operations, poultry picking, marinade blending, lug wash, vehicle pre‑cooling, loading and dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage night‑shift operations across warehouse, poultry, blending and dispatch functions.
• Conduct roll calls, attendance checks and ensure uniform compliance.
• Perform pre‑shift and end‑of‑shift inspections for readiness, housekeeping and security.
• Oversee stock picking, FIFO/FEFO rotation, palletising, shrink‑wrapping and cycle counts.
• Maintain cold‑chain integrity for temperature‑sensitive poultry and coordinate vehicle pre‑cooling.
• Stage, load, secure and dispatch 03:00 routes on schedule.
• Supervise marinade blending recipes, hygiene and cleaning procedures.
• Manage lug‑wash operations, PPE, chemicals and equipment availability.
• Handle employee performance, discipline, training and shift coverage.
• Identify improvement opportunities and report non‑conformances, maintenance and H&S issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, logistics or night‑shift management role.
• Strong people‑management experience, including performance, discipline and training.
• Experience coordinating multiple operational functions in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
• Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, picking, loading and dispatch processes.
• Experience managing temperature‑controlled products and maintaining cold‑chain compliance.
