Night Shift DC Inventory Clerk – Cosmetics (Midrand)

About the role

Dis‑Chem is seeking a Night Shift DC Inventory Clerk for its Midrand distribution centre. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, performing continuous cycle counts, and supporting replenishment of cosmetics bins throughout the night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Execute continuous inventory counts and annual stock counts, ensuring accuracy according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and prevent shrinkage by analysing adjustments and taking corrective action.
• Maintain stock rotation using the FEFO (first expiry, first out) principle.
• Resolve stock discrepancies, update stock reports, and spot‑check counters for accuracy.
• Provide efficient internal and external customer service, handling day‑to‑day queries and supporting operational teams.
• Plan and forecast department resources, manage filing and reporting, and adhere to Good Warehousing Practices, SHE programme and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Meet shift‑specific targets with a focus on accuracy and transactional excellence.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or Senior Certificate (minimum).
• Supply‑Chain or Logistics Degree/Diploma is advantageous.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a distribution, logistics or supply‑chain environment.
