New Business Banker – Merchant Services

About the role

Capitec Bank is seeking an energetic New Business Banker to drive profitability by promoting and selling Business Bank and merchant services to new business clients. The role focuses on generating sales opportunities through proactive outreach and building lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and acquire new business clients for Business Bank and merchant products.
• Conduct cold‑calling activities and develop a pipeline of sales opportunities across a defined geographic area.
• Assess client needs and present tailored solutions that align with Capitec’s product portfolio.
• Maintain and grow a client base, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
• Collaborate with internal teams to stay updated on product knowledge and market trends.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of proven cold‑calling sales experience, preferably in a merchant acquiring environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop a client base independently.
• Grade 12 qualification; a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Marketing is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the commercial, economic and SME landscape in the relevant region.
• Knowledge of business banking, payment solutions, POS systems and Capitec acquiring products.
