New and Used Vehicle Sales Manager

About the role

Halfway Geely Kokstad is looking for an experienced, results-driven New and Used Vehicle Sales Manager to lead its sales team, drive vehicle sales and ensure excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing daily sales operations and growing the dealership's market share.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the new and used vehicle sales team to achieve sales targets.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase vehicle sales and profitability.
• Monitor sales performance, stock levels and vehicle pricing.
• Ensure effective lead management and follow-up with prospective customers.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee trade-ins, vehicle valuations and stock management.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Prepare sales reports and monitor key performance indicators.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification essential; a Diploma in Business Management or Marketing Management is advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence essential.
• At least 5 years of vehicle sales experience, with a track record in selling new vehicles.
• Ideally 5 years of sales management experience.
• Knowledge of the new vehicle trade.
• Good computer and leadership skills.
• Energetic, innovative and prepared to work extended hours.
