Network Security Engineer – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Zinia is looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract to support an enterprise client. The role focuses on securing complex network infrastructures, ensuring high availability and resilience while collaborating with the client’s technical teams and Zinia’s specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, administer and maintain enterprise firewalls, primarily Huawei Next‑Generation Firewalls, including policies, Layer 7 controls, NAT, SSL inspection and URL filtering.
• Design, implement and support Site‑to‑Site and Remote Access VPNs using IPsec and SSL technologies.
• Develop and maintain network segmentation to protect critical systems.
• Configure and tune IPS/IDS, gateway antivirus and advanced threat protection solutions; monitor security events and respond to incidents.
• Perform firmware upgrades, security patching, configuration backups and routine maintenance using Huawei eSight and iMaster NCE.
• Document configurations, network diagrams and compliance evidence; follow change‑management procedures.
• Collaborate with client infrastructure teams and provide technical guidance on security projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise firewall administration and secure network design.
• Strong knowledge of VPN technologies, threat prevention and incident response.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Huawei NGFW (eSight, iMaster NCE)
• Cisco, Fortinet or Palo Alto firewall platforms (equivalent experience acceptable)
• IPsec and SSL VPN configuration
• IPS/IDS and advanced threat protection
• Network segmentation and VLAN design
• Firmware upgrade and security patch management
