Multiple Management and Accounting Positions – Merafong City Municipality

About the role

The Merafong City Local Municipality is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for several senior positions across its departments. Roles include managerial posts in the Office of the Municipal Manager, Corporate and Shared Services, and Finance, as well as a Chief Accountant for Credit Control and Client Services. All positions are based at the municipal offices in Carletonville.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Special Projects section within the Office of the Municipal Manager.
• Oversee Human Capital Management functions, ensuring effective recruitment, development and retention.
• Direct Sports, Recreation, Arts, Culture and Heritage initiatives.
• Manage revenue, credit control and client services as Chief Accountant.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications and proven experience in the respective field.
• Certified copies of identity document, driver’s licence and qualifications (not older than six months).
• Commitment to the municipality’s employment‑equity principles and diversity objectives.
