Mobile & Fibre Technical Support Agent

About the role

ShiftMate is recruiting Mobile and Fibre Technical Support Agents for a contact centre in Johannesburg. You help customers get their devices and connections working again by talking them through troubleshooting step by step. The role is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Take inbound calls and chats from customers with connection, device or account problems
• Diagnose the problem and guide the customer through troubleshooting steps
• Log faults accurately and escalate network or hardware issues to the right team
• Explain technical things in simple language
• Meet first-call resolution and quality targets
• Troubleshoot fibre routers, LTE devices, SIM and network settings with customers

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12)
• At least 6 months' experience in call-centre, customer-service, help-desk or technical support
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Patient and logical when solving problems

Required skills

• Good basic computer and smartphone knowledge
• Enjoys figuring out how things work
