Mixologist – Pre‑opening Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Mixologist to join our pre‑opening team at The Cape Town EDITION Hotel. You will craft memorable drink experiences, act as a host for our guests, and help shape the bar’s service standards from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Create innovative cocktails and wine selections while staying ahead of industry trends.
• Deliver exceptional guest service, answering questions about drink origins, vintages, and styles.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized bar environment, following all safety and security procedures.
• Handle cash and transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with hotel teams and the local community to anticipate and fulfill guest needs.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing bar staff.

Required profile

• Strong passion for hospitality and guest experience.
• Attention to detail in drink preparation, cash handling, and service delivery.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 25 lb for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and professional appearance.

Required skills

• Mixology expertise.
• Wine knowledge, including origin, vintage, and style.
• Cash handling and basic POS operation.
