Millwright – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leading food processing company, is seeking a qualified Millwright to join the maintenance team. The role focuses on keeping production equipment running efficiently and supporting utilities and infrastructure within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventative maintenance programmes on critical plant equipment.
• Provide utilities and infrastructure support to minimise downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform minor maintenance within targeted turnaround periods.
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability of manufacturing assets.
• Manage maintenance systems, store controls and schedule attainment.
• Perform any other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Matriculation and a Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Successful completion of the Millwright Trade Test (mandatory).
• 3‑5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Experience working with automated production equipment and strong fault‑finding ability across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts.

Required skills

• 3‑phase motor maintenance.
• Pneumatic system knowledge.
• Industrial sensor handling.
• Variable speed drive troubleshooting.
