Mid Social Media Manager

About the role

Digitas is seeking a Mid‑weight Social Media Manager to join its Commerce Capability team in South Africa. Reporting to the Strategy Director, you will work across client brands to create connected social experiences that drive engagement and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategies for multiple client brands.
• Manage day‑to‑day social activity across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and emerging channels.
• Build and maintain content calendars in collaboration with creative and strategy teams.
• Execute campaigns, monitor performance and produce analytical reports.
• Conduct social listening, identify trends and provide insights.
• Oversee community management and ensure best‑practice standards.
• Collaborate with creators, influencers and internal teams for integrated campaign delivery.
• Support client relationship management and contribute to new‑business opportunities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience managing social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
• Proficiency in content planning, publishing and campaign implementation.
• Ability to analyse performance data and generate actionable insights.
• Experience with social listening tools and trend identification.
• Knowledge of community management and influencer collaboration.
