Mid-Level Interior Designer / Architect

About the role

Novospace is looking for a motivated, capable and detail-oriented mid-level interior designer or architect to join its team. The position is based in the Westville offices and offers exposure to large-scale projects locally and abroad within a well-established practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead meetings with clients, suppliers and project teams on and off site.
• Develop conceptual presentations and produce high-quality renders (Enscape is advantageous).
• Assist with selecting and specifying materials, finishes and FF&E.
• Plan, manage and administer projects, monitor performance and construction standards.
• Generate technical and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors so construction meets design specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-year degree in interior architecture/design or architecture.
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience, preferably in high-end commercial fit-outs.
• Excellent knowledge of interior design principles, materials and finishes.
• Driver's licence and preferably own transportation.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; SketchUp and Photoshop highly beneficial.
• Collaboration in complex shared Revit models; ACC experience beneficial.
• 2D drawings, layouts and detailing, including construction and joinery details.
• Analyse consultant layouts and propose solutions.
• MS Office, with Excel and PowerPoint for FF&E and finishes schedules and concept presentations.
