Mid-Level Graphic & Packaging Designer (Cape Town)

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Graphic and Packaging Designer to join our Merchandise Department. The role focuses on creating premium, retail‑ready packaging and product artwork for a design‑led brand, ensuring flawless print and production execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, adapt, and update packaging artwork for new and existing products.
• Apply brand artwork, patterns, imagery, and finishes consistently across all packaging formats.
• Create and adapt graphic artwork for product surfaces, including decals, patterns, and placements.
• Prepare accurate, print‑ready files for factories, printers, and suppliers.
• Work confidently with dyelines, packaging layouts, and repro setup.
• Review proofs and ensure artwork accuracy before production.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Art, and Replenishment teams.
• Liaise with external factories and suppliers to resolve artwork and production queries.
• Maintain an organised digital artwork library with strict version control.
• Brief and coordinate packaging or product photography when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of graphic design experience with a strong focus on packaging and print.
• Proven track record taking artwork through to factory production.
• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, or a related field.
• Must be South African and based in Cape Town.
