About the role

Alma Clinics is seeking a full‑time Medical Doctor to join its primary‑care team in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. You will deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care in a high‑volume clinic, supporting the organisation’s mission to make quality private healthcare accessible and affordable.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
• Order, interpret and act on laboratory and imaging results.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and monitor therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide health education, disease‑prevention counseling, and lifestyle advice.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members and refer when necessary.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records in the EMR system.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) with valid HPCSA registration.
• Proven experience in primary care, family medicine or general practice.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety and evidence‑based medicine.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in a high‑volume environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred or obtainable).
