Media Buyer

About the role

A full-time Media Buyer position in East London, advertised by Abantu Staffing Solutions. The role builds, runs and optimises paid media campaigns across several platforms, manages monthly media budgets and supports e-commerce growth through performance marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Build, launch and manage paid media campaigns across multiple platforms, monitoring performance daily and adjusting them to improve results.
• Manage audience targeting, bidding strategies and budget allocation; scale winning campaigns and fix underperformers quickly.
• Manage monthly media budgets across all brands, keeping spend within approved limits and reallocating it by channel and campaign performance.
• Analyse campaign data to improve ROAS, CPA, CAC, conversion rates and revenue, and work with internal teams to improve overall effectiveness.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, give clear recommendations and highlight risks and opportunities early.
• Support product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns, monitor their impact on sales and align campaigns with business objectives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• At least 5 years of paid media experience, with proven experience managing substantial advertising budgets.
• Experience in an e-commerce or performance marketing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads.
• Advanced Excel and reporting capability.
• Advantageous: Takealot and Amazon advertising, Google Analytics, and exposure to FMCG, health, wellness or supplement brands.
