Mechanical Engineer – 3D CAD Design

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong 3D CAD expertise to join our Centurion team. The role involves designing mechanical components, managing product data and collaborating with international suppliers to deliver cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate task scope and define design requirements.
• Prepare and maintain bills of materials and related 3D assemblies.
• Create 3D parts and 2D drawings in line with supplier and regulatory standards.
• Manage product data within PDM/PLM systems.
• Liaise with international suppliers and customers on design requirements.
• Conduct concept and design reviews to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• Support day‑to‑day customer engineering activities.
• Collaborate with purchasing, materials, analysis, test and manufacturing teams to optimise designs.
• Ensure designs meet relevant regulations, standards and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong 3D CAD background.
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems (advantageous).
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into design solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel internationally (USA).
