Mechanic and Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, hands‑on Mechanic and Maintenance Technician to join our agricultural team. You will be responsible for keeping farm vehicles, machinery and infrastructure running smoothly, minimising downtime and supporting daily farming operations.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out efficient repairs on trucks, tractors, farm machinery and light vehicles.
• Perform general workshop maintenance, including welding and fabrication work.
• Maintain workshop stock levels and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Source and collect vehicle and machinery parts when required.
• Carry out minor maintenance and repairs on pack‑house equipment.
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and water pumps.
• Provide basic electrical fault‑finding and repair assistance.
• Ensure all maintenance is completed safely, on time and documented accurately.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mechanic or Maintenance Technician.
• Proven experience servicing and repairing trucks, tractors, farm machinery and light vehicles.
• Previous agricultural or farming experience is highly advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
