Marketing Coordinator

About the role

The Marketing Coordinator will act as the bridge between Nike’s global brand direction and Sportscene’s local market, ensuring that campaigns resonate with South African youth. You will collaborate with internal marketing, retail, digital, creative, and buying teams, as well as Nike stakeholders, to deliver high‑impact brand experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of Nike‑focused marketing strategies and campaigns within Sportscene.
• Coordinate and implement integrated marketing plans across retail, digital, social, and experiential platforms.
• Translate Nike’s global brand direction into locally relevant go‑to‑market campaigns.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact between internal teams and Nike partners.
• Assist with product launches, seasonal campaigns, and key brand moments.
• Support creative briefing and development to ensure alignment with Nike brand standards.
• Manage Nike marketing calendars, campaign timelines, and post‑campaign reporting.
• Conduct market, trend, and competitor analysis to keep Sportscene culturally relevant.
• Identify innovative opportunities to grow the Nike business within Sportscene.

Required profile

• Qualification in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in marketing, brand coordination, retail marketing, or account management.
• Strong understanding of youth, sneaker, and streetwear culture in South Africa.
• Experience managing integrated campaigns across digital, retail, and experiential environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation tools.
