Marketing and Consumer Insights Manager – South Africa

About the role

MANE is seeking a Marketing and Consumer Insights Manager to lead the strategic marketing function for Southern and Eastern Africa. The role focuses on turning market and consumer knowledge into innovation, supporting sales targets and driving business growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Strategically manage the marketing function for MANE Southern and Eastern Africa.
• Oversee the marketing assistant and manage the cost centre.
• Identify market trends, gaps and opportunities to drive innovation and achieve annual targets.
• Compile, analyse and present customer insight data to support business development.
• Collaborate daily with Sales, R&D and regional teams on strategic initiatives.
• Lead multi‑country consumer surveys, including design, fieldwork management, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and presentation of insights.
• Monitor international trends and provide local recommendations on new concepts.
• Define and manage the Marketing and Consumer Insights budget for the South & East Africa region.
• Support participation in association sponsorships and special events with defined partners and clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marketing and consumer insights, preferably within the fragrance, personal care or related consumer goods sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to translate market research into actionable business opportunities.
• Strong collaboration skills with sales, R&D and regional stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets and external research partners.
• Capability to lead strategic research projects across multiple countries.
