Marketing and Communications Specialist

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Specialist plans, creates, and coordinates internal and external communications and marketing initiatives that support the organization’s mission, goals, culture, and brand. This role works closely with leaders across the organization to ensure timely, accurate, and engaging information reaches employees, providers, patients, board members, and community stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate employee communications such as newsletters, leadership messages, announcements, and strategic priority updates.
• Lead communication planning for organizational initiatives, change‑management efforts, and enterprise‑wide priorities.
• Manage internal communication platforms including intranet, digital signage, communication boards, and organization‑wide email.
• Oversee presentation materials for staff, board, leadership, and physician/provider meetings.
• Maintain and update the organization’s website and social media platforms, creating content, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement.
• Produce external communications including press releases, community updates, public announcements, and marketing content.
• Coordinate external outreach activities, events, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Assist with media and public‑relations initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven ability to plan, create, and coordinate internal and external communications.
• Experience collaborating with organizational leaders and external marketing partners.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple communication channels and projects.
