Marketing and Communications Specialist

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will plan, create, and coordinate internal and external communications that support the organization’s mission, culture, and brand. Working closely with leaders across the organization, this role ensures that employees, providers, patients, board members, and community stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and engaging information.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage employee communications such as newsletters, leadership messages, announcements, and operational updates.
• Lead communication planning for organizational initiatives, change‑management projects, and enterprise‑wide priorities.
• Oversee presentation materials for staff, board, leadership, and provider meetings.
• Manage internal communication platforms including intranet, digital signage, boards, and email distributions.
• Maintain the organization‑wide communications governance framework, including workflows and approval protocols.
• Administer social media platforms, create and schedule content, monitor engagement, and respond to inquiries.
• Produce external communications such as press releases, community updates, public announcements, and marketing content.
• Update website content to ensure accuracy, user‑friendliness, and brand consistency.
• Coordinate external outreach activities, events, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Support media and public‑relations initiatives, including responding to inquiries.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating with senior leaders and external partners to align messaging with strategic goals.
• Detail‑oriented approach to ensure consistency, accuracy, and brand compliance across all channels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
