Marketing and Business Development Manager – Construction/Architecture (Relocate to Tanzania)

About the role

Talanta is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Manager with proven experience in the construction or architecture sector. Based in Cape Town, the role may require relocation to Tanzania to help position Talanta’s HR and payroll platform as the go‑to solution for firms in these industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute B2B marketing strategies tailored to construction and architecture firms.
• Plan and run multi‑channel campaigns, create content, and manage digital marketing activities.
• Identify, qualify, and nurture new business opportunities, building relationships with senior decision‑makers.
• Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close partnership agreements.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and contribute to go‑to‑market planning.
• Collaborate with product and customer‑success teams to align offerings with client feedback.
• Track KPIs, forecast sales, and report performance to leadership.

Required profile

• Demonstrated success in marketing and business development within construction or architecture.
• Strong B2B marketing background, including brand positioning and digital campaign execution.
• Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline, conduct solution selling, and negotiate contracts.
• Experience with market research and go‑to‑market strategy, preferably in HR or construction tech.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site and relocate to Tanzania if needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Construction Management, Architecture or related field; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
