Manufacturing Executive

About the role

The Manufacturing Executive will lead all manufacturing operations across multiple production departments in Cape Town. This senior role is responsible for driving operational excellence, aligning production performance with business objectives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient utilisation of labour, equipment, facilities and materials to maximise productivity.
• Develop and execute integrated production schedules, translating sales forecasts into achievable capacity plans.
• Monitor operational performance, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput, reduce downtime and lower costs.
• Establish and track manufacturing KPIs and performance dashboards, promoting "First Time Right" principles and waste elimination.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing initiatives, leading continuous‑improvement projects that enhance quality, productivity and employee engagement.
• Oversee raw material, work‑in‑progress and finished‑goods inventory, ensuring accuracy through disciplined ERP utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation across all manufacturing activities.
