Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

About the role

Camunda is looking for a hands‑on leader to own the cloud infrastructure that powers its SaaS platform. The Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering will guide a remote team to keep the environment reliable, scalable and secure while embedding AI‑driven automation throughout operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a globally distributed team responsible for the SaaS cloud platform.
• Design, deliver and evolve Kubernetes‑based, multi‑cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, scalability and security.
• Collaborate with product, security, support and other engineering leaders to enable safe and efficient shipping.
• Raise the bar on infrastructure automation, developer tooling and platform guardrails.
• Define and institutionalise the use of AI for ops analysis, incident response, automation and documentation.
• Balance day‑to‑day operational stability with long‑term investments in multi‑cloud expansion and new capabilities.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience leading engineers who build and run production cloud infrastructure.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Kubernetes in a multi‑cloud environment.
• Comfortable working fully remote across time zones and creating clear direction.
• Willingness to use Camunda’s product and to incorporate AI into infrastructure workflows.
