Maintenance Controller – Engineering Management

About the role

The Maintenance Controller ensures that effective maintenance plans are in place for plant equipment, that spares and resources are available, and that planned outages run smoothly. You will work closely with the Brewing Area Manager and Brewing Engineer to monitor execution and address any unforeseen work.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards across the plant.
• Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation.
• Develop, tag and schedule work from inspection tasks to carry out repairs.
• Continuously improve maintenance plans to reduce outage time while ensuring all required work is completed.
• Monitor planned maintenance outages and recommend actions when unexpected work arises.
• Communicate effectively with all plant levels and contribute to team development.
• Apply VPO principles and adhere to GOP requirements.

Required profile

• Trade‑tested, qualified artisan (Electrician, Millwright or similar) with an N6 qualification.
• 3–5 years of management experience in an engineering environment.
• Strong team leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proven experience with SAP.
