Machine Operator – Timber Cutting

About the role
The Building Company is looking for a Machine Operator to cut timber and boards to customer specifications. You will provide prompt, accurate service, assist customers with loading, and ensure that all products are neatly packed and ready for delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and service cutting machines
- Feed material into the machine and adjust settings
- Regulate belt speed and temperature
- Perform edge trimming and sanding
- Assist customers and handle loading of vehicles
- Keep the cutting area tidy and follow housekeeping standards
- Report stock shortages and adhere to safety policies
- Conduct stock‑take and report any failures
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification
- At least 1 year of industrial experience
- Basic administrative and numeracy skills
- Good interpersonal skills for customer interaction
