About the role
Greenro Solutions is looking for an Automation Intern in Midrand to support the engineering team in the design, programming, testing and maintenance of industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA and instrumentation). The role gives practical experience in control and instrumentation engineering.
Required profile
- Grade 12.
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics or Instrumentation).
- 1-2 years' experience is an advantage.
- Exposure to PLCs, SCADA or instrumentation through academic study or projects is advantageous.
- Good planning, organised, able to work in a fast-paced environment, deadline-driven, strong attention to detail and compliant.
Required skills
- Basic PLC programming skills.
- SCADA and HMI design, configuration and implementation.
- Control and instrumentation design and commissioning basics.
- Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, HMI and electrical products such as Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Adroit and Aveva.
- Industrial networking (Ethernet, MODBUS, Fibre optic, Profibus, DeviceNet).
- Intermediate knowledge of telemetry systems.
- Basic computer literacy and AutoCAD Electrical.
