Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

ARC is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to partner with its Data Science team. You will design and operate the data and MLOps pipelines that turn AI experiments into reliable production solutions for a growing insurance group.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable feature pipelines and training datasets in Snowflake.
• Develop and maintain high‑quality data assets and ensure data governance compliance (POPIA, FAIS, TCF).
• Build, monitor, and document data pipelines for model training and inference.
• Partner with Data Scientists to productionise models, implementing CI/CD for machine‑learning workflows.
• Manage model versioning, experiment tracking, and reproducible deployments.
• Monitor models for performance, reliability, and data drift, maintaining auditability and lineage.
• Contribute to ML engineering standards and the AI ecosystem architecture across Azure and GCP.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to integrate ML into business solutions and identify automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or MLOps specialist.
• Strong background in data engineering and building production‑grade pipelines.
• Familiarity with regulatory data requirements such as POPIA, FAIS and TCF.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Data Science and Analytics teams.
